Nashville, Tenn. – December 22, 2008 -- Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading national architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm announces it received three awards in the American Institute of Architects Middle Tennessee Chapter's annual design awards program. Honored in the categories of "built" and "unbuilt," the firm received recognition for its design of the recently completed Nissan Americas Corporate Facility located in Franklin, Tenn. as well as the Theatre Putuo Zhoushan Opera House in Zhejiang Province, China and United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV, which are under design and construction respectively. Used to promote architecture, architectural firms and AIA members in the Middle Tennessee area, the awards were announced at the organization's annual Holiday Design Awards Gala held at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel on Thursday, December 11. Study Aims to Improve Livability, Mobility and Safety of Greater Rubicon Corridor

American Society of Civil Engineers-Tennessee Section Honors Firm for Outstanding Engineering
Nashville, Tenn. - November 13, 2008 -- Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading national architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm, announces it has been awarded "Project of the Year" from the Tennessee Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers for outstanding engineering related to Wal-Mart's Nashville South store relocation and expansion. Relocation efforts for one of the highest performing Wal-Mart stores in the country based on sales per square-foot included site planning and development of 43 acres with a total vertical relief of 110 feet across the site and accommodating and improving an impaired creek that traversed the site.
